Removing Authentium Antivirus

Authentium software is licensed to many Internet Service Providers (ISP) as part of their security software suite.  Your new software is detecting Authentium Antivirus because all or part of the suite is still installed on your computer.

To remove Authentium Antivirus please follow these steps:

Step 1.  Open the Control Panel and locate "Add or Remove Programs" or "Uninstall a Program".

Step 2.  Locate "High Speed Security Suite" and uninstall.  When the uninstallation is complete, try installing your new security software again.  If you are unable to locate "High Speed Security Suite" proceed to Step 3.

Step 3.  Go to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools and click on Services.

Step 4.   Right-click on Windows Management Instrumentation and from the drop down list stop the service.

Step 5.  Find folder C:\windows\system32\wbem and identify and delete the repository folder from your computer.

Step 6.  In Administrative Tools find Windows Management Instrumentation service again, and re-start the service by right-clicking mouse and select start from the drop down list.

NOTE:  Restarting this service rebuilds the repository folder database on your computer, which should now only contain information about your currently installed security programs.

Step 7.  To reset the Windows Security Center you must reboot your computer.

Try installing your new security software now.
