Forgot password needed for removal

If you have forgotten the username or password, your only option to recover is delete the appropriate Registry Keys.

Follow the steps below:

Step 1 - Boot to Safe Mode  

  • Restart your pc and tap the F8 key when it turns back on.  
  • At the menu use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and hit Enter.
  • Log in to your account, NOT Administrator.  

Step 2 - Open the Registry Editor

  • Click Start
  • Choose Run or Search in Vista and 7
  • Type Regedit 
  • Click OK or Enter in Vista and 7

Step 3 - Delete the required Registry Keys

  • Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Authentium\Curtains\v1.5


  • In the right pane, delete the keys that have LCC_ and LCCID.


Step 4 - Reboot the computer.

  • Close the registry Editor
  • Click on Start
  • Shutdown
  • Restart

Note: The Enable Password Protection dialog box may appear. Select No. You will need to repair the Security Suite.
