Update Settings

The software by default is set to automatically download and apply updates once a day. If desired you are able to change the update settings of the software


Step 1. Click Setup. This will open the setup settings screen.


Step 2. Click Updates.


Step 3. Select the option of how you would like to manage the software updates. The options and descriptions are noted below.

Notify me when updates are available – the software frequently checks for updates in the background. When it finds that an update to core programs and files is available it will inform you about the update. When you choose to start the update process it will download and then apply the update.

Automatically download updates and notify me before installing – the software frequently checks for updates in the background. When it finds that an update to core programs and files is available it will download the update in the background. Once the download process is complete, it will inform you that an update is ready to be installed. When you choose to start the update process it will apply the already downloaded update.

Automatically download and apply updates (Default Setting) – the software frequently checks for updates in the background. When it finds an update to one of the feature modules it automatically downloads and installs the update without any need for the user to approve the installation. Feature module updates like Anti-Virus definitions files are generally more frequent than other updates and their timely application is important to ensure full protection. Checking this option ensures that any downloaded Anti-Virus definition files update will be applied in the background. Using this option is therefore highly recommended .
