Distorted images in dialog boxes on screen

If you are encountering an issue where some of the text on the Telstra Broadband Protect dashboard or in the settings appear distorted (pic below), the issue can be resolved by adjusting the default text settings in windows. 

For Windows 7
1. Open Screen Resolution by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, and then, under Appearance and Personalization, clicking Adjust screen resolution.
2. Select "Make text and other items larger or smaller"
3. Change the font settings to: Smaller - 100% (default)
4. Click Apply.

For Windows 8
1. Right click on your desktop and select "screen resolution".
2. Then click "Make text and other items larger or smaller" text link at the bottom.
3. Change the font settings to: Smaller - 100% (default)
4. Click Apply.

For Windows Vista
Distortion of the dialog boxes occurs if the DPI setting is higher than 130 DPI.

To adjust the DPI setting: 

1. Open Control Panel.

2. Select the Display icon.

3. Select the Settings tab.

4. Select the Advanced button.

5. Choose a DPI setting lower than 130 DPI.

6. Click the OK button.

 

Note: If the video card that you are using supports ClearType, you may need to disable it. Refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306527/EN-US/ for more information.
