Enabling/Disabling Web Threat Protection/Parental Controls

 

You can enable or disable Telstra Online Security Web Threat Protection, by clicking on Computer Safety and then selecting “Status and Settings

From the “Scan and Settings” section, click the Web Protection button.

You can now toggle ON/OFF Web Threat Protection. You will require your BigPond Username and Password to authorise this action.

 

Note: It is not recommended to turn OFF Web Threat Protection, as you will be vulnerable to phishing sites and malicious URLs while browsing. Disabling Web Threat Protection will additionally disable any Parental Controls that you may have set up.
