Downloading the Installer
This is the first step in the process of installing Telstra Security. In this stage you are required to download Telstra Security Installer setup from selfcare, by visiting the following link
Please log in with your Telstra credentials and proceed to the software download page.
Running the Installer
Once the installer has been downloaded, please run the application setup on your computer. Users might be prompted to elevate User Account Control permissions prior to the installation of Telstra Security Suite.
Please allow the Installer to proceed by elevating these permissions.
Please follow the steps given below to proceed with the installation process using the Telstra Security application setup:
Step 1. At the installation prompt you will either be prompted for a license key or username/email address and password. Enter your credentials.
Step 2. Accept the EULA (end user license agreement). Click next.
Step 3. The installer will generate a license key if you entered credentials and prompt you to install the "wizard.exe" ActiveX control from "Wontok , Inc". Install the ActiveX control. If UAC (user account control) is enabled on systems with Vista or higher accept the UAC prompt to continue installation. Additionally, you may be prompted to launch Internet Explorer with Administrative privileges. If you receive this message please the click here hyperlink on the installation page.
The installation wizard will now scan your computer to ensure all system requirements are met.
A scan results page will display with the available security modules to install. You may receive warnings if you already have 3rd party software installed on the system that will conflict with Telstra Online Security’s functionality. Click “Next”.
After the system has been successfully checked by the installer, the wizard will then begin downloading the core of the program onto your computer.
Once the download stages are complete, the wizard will begin the process of installing Telstra Online Security on your computer.
During this process, If UAC (user account control) is enabled on systems with Vista or higher, you may be prompted to allow the installation to make changes. Click Yes, and the installation will continue.
After elevating the privileges for the installer, the downloaded components will not be installed to your system. Please do not cancel or try to close any application during this stage.
Once the installation is completed, you will be prompted to reboot your computer.
IF your account information is not automatically entered into the dialog box, please enter your account/username and password into the boxes provided.
After Telstra Online Security successfully verifies your credentials, the Telstra Online Security dashboard will open and the program will automatically begin updating itself with the latest updates to secure your computer.
Congratulations, you’ve successfully installed Telstra Online Security to your computer.
